My Review of The Cotswold Christmas Bookshop
I love Christmas books that take place in a village, focus on a bookshop, and have that feeling of a fresh start. “ The Cotswold Christmas Bookshop” offers a warm and inviting story about returning home, letting go of past desires, and discovering happiness in unforeseen circumstances.
Isla Stewart seems to have it all together – a thriving career in London’s publishing scene that’s made her parents beam with pride. But when she’s unexpectedly let go, the comfortable life she’s built begins to unravel. Unable to face her parents with the truth, Isla escapes to the Cotswolds, hoping to find some peace and quiet away from the city’s chaos and lofty expectations. She’s looking for a chance to regroup and figure out what’s next, without the pressure of living up to her family’s ideals. As she settles into the slower pace of country life, Isla starts to realize that maybe this setback is an opportunity to rediscover herself and find a new sense of purpose.
