‘What Now?‘ is the follow-up sequel to the bestselling ‘What If?’ from Shari Low. I’ve read a few of Shari’s books, but haven’t read ‘What If?’. It didn’t make this book any the less enjoyable though.
What Now?

My review
What I’ve loved about all Shari’s books that I’ve read are the lovely characters and the story lines. And ‘What Now?’ lived up to this.
The situations she describes while often being full of laughs are so close to what many women go through – the fallout of divorce, trying to re-create a life when you should be enjoying the one you’ve already created and the genuine fears that mothers have, especially those sharing custody of their children with their ex-partners.
All the characters while full of sarcasm, humour and often self-deprecating in their manner are very real. There’s an underlying vulnerability in Carly that tugs at your heartstrings.
The fearless Carly, knocked down by life and responsibilities doesn’t have the courage to follow her heart after calling an end to her soulless marriage. But her band of girls, including her aunt Val, push her to rediscover the adventurous woman she used to be. What follows is a great source of entertainment and made for a delightful read.
I loved this story of friendship and reinventing oneself.
