My review – [rating=4]

A lovely read, Dante’s Gift has two love stories intermingled. The main story is the present day romance of Dominic and Katie, in Chicago. The background story of the romance of Dominic’s grandparents is sent in Italy during World War II.

While Katie struggles to make a commitment to Dominic after her brings his grandmother, Antonia, to stay with him, the story of his grandparents – an American soldier and an Italian girl falling in love and a special collie named Dante, is told to her by Antonia.

The common factor is two women struggling to overcome their fears and surrender their hearts to the two men who win them over with love, understanding, patience and the help of a wise dog!

Totally enjoyable!
