Something I Want To Achieve This Year

Writing every day here in January and a weekly post through the year is something I want to achieve this year. This is besides my daily Morning Pages practice and writing at least once weekly on my other blogs – Everyday Gyaan and The Frangipani Creative and on Instagram.

Something I Want To Achieve This Year

Why do I want to write so much? Do I have something to prove? No. I have realized that writing is therapeutic and in this year in which my Word of The Year is ‘Heal’, it’s important that I WRITE.

No Excuses About Lack Of Time

I’m not going to make excuses for myself as I did last year. Replacing guilt with joy, I’m going to keep writing every day.

“The “if I had time” lie is a convenient way to ignore the fact that novels require being written and that writing happens a sentence at a time. Sentences can happen in a moment. Enough stolen moments, enough stolen sentences, and a novel is born – without the luxury of time.”
― Julia Cameron, The Right to Write: An Invitation and Initiation Into the Writing Life

Writing From The Heart

I’m going to write from my heart – free writing – and allowing my fingers to talk.

“When we write from the inside out rather than the outside in, when we write about what most concerns us rather than about what we feel might sell, we often write so well and so persuasively that the market responds to our efforts.”
― Julia Cameron, The Right to Write: An Invitation and Initiation Into the Writing Life
