Ultimate Blog Challenge – Day 27

How’s it going people? I know that some of you are already looking for the next challenge! 🙂

Just thought I’d raise a question about how much you worry about readership of your blog. Do you write for your readers or for yourself?  When I first started blogging, I must admit that I wrote for my readers. Now, although, I am mindful of my readers, I write because I have to write – readers follow.

I would encourage you today to write because it makes you happy – write as authentically as you can – the readers will follow:

  1. I for sure had enough of the challenge because these days I feel I am writing because I have to. So the only challenge that I am taking up next month is that of replying to comments of last month 🙂

      1. I took up May Challenge then June was silent and then again I took up July!!! Now I have had enough & I am sure even my readers have had enough of me 😉

  2. My mind is always occupied…seriously, I “always” think something (Except while reading a good book, that time I usually envision things from the book:)) that’s why I write. Sometimes, many interesting ideas/lines come to my mind for fleeting second…if I miss to note that down, sometimes I forget them and feel annoyed.
These days, I’m trying to paint…I’m an absolute beginner but I’m enjoying!!
Good to be a part of Write Tribe! Thank you Corinne!:)

  3. I write to keep words flowing from mind to the pen but take care not to offend or hurt anyone. Many a times I have drafted a post and then didn’t publish it thinking whether it will go down well with the readers.

  4. Honestly speaking, in the initial stages of blogging, I blogged because I wanted to be read. Nowadays, it feels just wonderful that I can write whenever I want to, about whatever I want to without worrying much about who will read this, what will they say/think. That is what I loved the most – the realization that dawned within that I can write whenever I want to. 🙂 🙂

  5. Corinne, I agree:Write because it makes you happy, readers follow.
That’s the best way. Then the readers notice the genuineness and come back to read.
