7x7x7x7 Writing Prompt

The response to the ‘Why I Write‘ prompt was overwhelming. Incidentally, the prompt is still open until midnight today.
I have still to visit all your posts. I am really inspired by so many of your posts.

I hope that by writing on these prompts and linking in here traffic to your blog is increasing. It’s a good idea to visit the other bloggers linking in too and build new blogging relationships, if you can.

7x7x7x7

For the Weekly Wednesday prompt today, I decided we’d have a change. I tried this earlier this year on Everyday Gyaan and got a good response. So why not try it on Write Tribe too, I thought. What is the 7x7x7x7 Writing Prompt?

  1. Grab the 7th book from your bookshelf.
  2. Open it up to page 7.
  3. Pinpoint the 7th sentence on the page.
  4. Begin a poem/a piece of prose that begins with that sentence
  5. Limit it in length to 7 lines/7 sentences.

Ready or not?

      1. Boo hooooo sniff sniff! I missed this prompt! I fully blame it on my medication! I was so excited with this one! Lesson learned. I shouldn’t wait until the last moment! But the past week has been an unusual one. Hmm.

  5. love the prompts you keep coming up with….. i have never been a woman of few words….my stories always run into a few thousand words….. and this forces me to think otherwise, a challenge to convey my thought in very few words…..

    1. Sunita – Sorry I’m responding so late. Why don’t you start with this week’s prompt – so you can link up, and then attempt the others in your own time.
